Thor Network Architecture

3.1 High-performance Decentralized Trading Platform

Thorn Network is a high-performance decentralized trading platform. Its core

architecture is shown in the following figure:

There are seven parts in the above figure:

1. Thor Interface Layer (TIL) — it provides SDK and API for wallet App, allowing users to

view market data, and initiate limit order and market order directly from the wallet App;

provides high-performance API for institutional customers with access to block trading and

quantitative trading; and provides customers who need fast payment methods with HTML5

buttons to “pay with tokens”, so that customers can integrate fast token payment channels on

their websites or apps.

2. Atomic Settlement Network (ASN) — based on Hash Time Lock Contract (HTLC), it

provides two-party and even multi-party cross-chain non-intermediary asset exchange

interfaces and services for other modules of Thor network. It also provides API to third

parties, such as banks and exchanges;

3. Thor Swap Hub (TSH) — an anonymous decentralized digital asset exchange platform

that supports ERC20 tokens and other non-ERC20 currencies such as BTC, and achieves crosschain

asset settlement with ASN;

4. Thor Payment System (TPS) — an payment system based on TSH to enable merchants

receiving their preferred crypto currencies instantly from the customer payments in any other

currencies supported by TSH;

5. Universal Order Book (UOB) — the only high-performance order book operated by

Thor Network ecosystem partners that accommodates orders from all traders worldwide and

provides millisecond matching services;

6. Thor Settlement Chain (TSC) — a high-performance zero-friction cost sidechain using

DPoS algorithm, providing UOB with a high-speed decentralized clearing and settlement

infrastructure. All transaction records are on the chain, eliminating most market manipulation

behaviors;

7. Thor Auction Platform (TAP) — An anonymous decentralized auction platform that

supports multiple auction models and can achieve decentralized cross-chain asset delivery

with TSC or ASN
