I finally choose to make a vinyl record by CNC Router is because I think it’s better to try something different with new materials and new approaches. CNC Router is able to create something dimensional on a MDF. But my other designs are only about repeating the nature scenes I painted on canvas to a dimensional one. It’s more appropriate to make an object that it’s supposed to have dimensional mode. And the fluid acrylic is also the thing that I want to try a long time. It’s a challenge that use two new approaches and make a good combination with them.

When I actually use the CNC Router to cut the model out, I started to try to use the acrylic on the rest of the wood.

I used a long time to try to work with the fluid acrylic because it’s the first time and i have to spread it evenly on a wood instead of canvas. I found that it’s really hard to get a “flowing” finish with the color I chose. So I tried more than three times on the wood I bought from the XYZ lab and I finally found a way that I made different dark layers when the colors are still wet. Then highlight the light colors on it with brush and a straw. I blowed the color together.
